Did you know that Oslo has a lot of history with fashion ? Discover this with the «Critical Fashion Walk» !
Created and curated by the French researcher Johanna Zanon, this project aims to create walks that explore the fashion history of Oslo through art and research. As an experimental and interdisciplinary platform, Critical Fashion Walk hopes to foster a series of material, visual, sonic, and textual interventions that entangle digital and sensory experiences of fashion in the public space.
The first part of the project is a series of webinars and workshops, in English:
Webinar: “Critical Fashion.” – Wednesday 17 February, 6pm. Online, open to the public.
Invited speakers will discuss the concept of critical fashion, inviting the audience to participate. Is critical fashion a theory, a methodology, a practice or all of the above?
Webinar: “Critical Walk.” – Wednesday 10 March, 6pm. Online, open to the public.
Invited speakers will discuss the concept of critical walk, before opening the discussion to the audience. Is critical walk an artform, a curatorial practice, a public outreach strategy, or all of the above?

Group action: “Mapping Oslo Fashion.” – April (date to be confirmed), at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. Private event.
Participants will map out the history of fashion in Oslo, present their own research interests, and share resources. They will meet at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology.
Group action: “Field Trip.” – April (date to be confirmed), Oslo. Private event.
Participants will take a walk to various fashion sites in Oslo. Collective interactions and individual interventions will happen at this walk, based upon voluntary participation. Participants will meet physically in Oslo.
